THE FUTURE FARM by ekud THE FUTURE FARM by ekud
Commissioned by Computer Arts Projects for a story they are doing on art collectives.

We ended up using a different version of the piece, but this is my favourite. Countless hours and hundreds of layers went in to this; the PSD is around 2GB...

I'll put it up on superlover soon...

Enjoy!

do electric sheep dream of androids?

Technology and morality - sometimes one must be dimminshed for the forward movement of another....

A powerful peice - but it moves me to sadness.

Oooh (all I can say)

That and 'aaah' but in a good way, not 'AAAGH!' which is more negative, Anyway, yes, what?
Amazing picture, I particularly love the house/structure on the left, gives a sense of further mystery.

Hard to answer? I got ps like 10 years ago, so I've been fudging with it for that long, but I didn't take it overly serious til I joined DA in 2001....

The photo it's self is very well coloured. And the detailing on the sheep's faces is very well put together and the render as usual is awesome.

Quite a lovely manipulation, the scene has some good depth due to it's composition and the colorstrings are some great eyecatchers. Although the lightning is a bit off on the front sheep, i simply adore it's head details. The abstract shapes are nicely integrated and make up for an interesting gateaway. I'm also enjoying most of the colorstrings (especially the ones going through the sheeps and their wool) but some parts lack flow and disturb the movement of this piece, such as the ones on the left sheep. You could fix that by making the blue and purple string go through the sheep or perhaps around it's legs. Still, one great addition to your portfolio Justin.

This piece became a bit of an obsession for me, and I'm not willing to risk opening the PSD again!

Amazing, but the one thing with it, it the sheep to the left of the one with the close-up doesn't look like it belongs there. It doesn't look like it's standing on the grass right. But other than that, it looks amazing, nice work

good job, i had began to worry that each piece you put out would be just another image with some rendering in it...but this one actually stands out since it has depth and the rendering is necessary and feels like it belongs since it interacts with the rest of the image. Good job this time, i'm impressed

~ that sheep is one mutant baby. looks like his face is falling off. i like how you are mixing that old school trend-action with reality shots - it's a new way to see both.
