For this sort of work - personal exploration, as opposed to paid jobs - when you need a photo of a gorgeous girl, do you start with a stock image, go out and take a photo, hire a photographer, get a mate to help you out...?

did you use gradient maps to get the texture to follow the contours or did u use 3d modelling to achieve the effect? just interest because normally the texture would look flat on the surface, while here there is no loss of the models fidelity.
