So this is the one of yours that i liked best for quite some time. It is the color, the grain (the jaggyness does not bother here) and the light. hmm. It is like the Porsche of Digital Abstracts. It looks posh by understating.
"We don't need too many fancy colors, we got this shape and light! We don't need ten shapes cutting themselves, we got one killershape! We don't try to be smooth, we are so cool we let the aesthetics of polygons speak for themselves" That's what this image says to me. Now, I only let *.bmp files on my desktop (which kinda limits me to my own work) since i don't like to activate the "Active Desktop" but i still wonder how this would look like on my screen.
You must get a 1600x1200 screen!! I got one last year, but i also made everything a bit larger for everyone else before that, even though now you constantly get asked for 1920x1200 or dual screen stuff as well.
The lack of obvious brushing, and concentration instead on the main forms, and management of the lighting and background means that it's less of an instant fix and more about spending time looking at the image. Or maybe I keep doing that coz i'm not sure what to put in this comment. I think that maybe toning down the grain just a little bit, and making the bottom right a little darker would have cleaned everything up.
Great choice of color, the color makes it look that much better with this kinda effect.. I like the grainy effect sets the atmosphere. I also like the glows you have goin around parts of the image, specially the bottom right. The sharp areas are just right
Nice work bro.
